Small spool hub measuring 3 1/2" on small side with slotted holes, 4 1/2" on drive side, and 
3 1/2" wide.  Most years used 8-10 ga., but some used 9 ga.  All used .300 dia. nipples.  Some
years laced cross 4 on both sides, but most laced cross 3.   We lace cross 3.  Some Triumph
models continued to use this hub after 1970.  Please verify which hub is fitted to your bike.

8-10 GAUGE SPOKES with .300" DIAMETER NIPPLES

Cast steel hub, all nail spokes (no bend).  Originally this hub had single leading shoe brakes, but some have been converted to dual.  Stock spokes were 8-10 ga. with .300" diameter nipples.  NOTE:  Some may have a 7" brake and are easily mistaken for their cousin.

8-10 GAUGE SPOKES with .300" DIAMETER NIPPLES

Cast steel hub with nail spokes on side opposite drum and conventional bent spokes on drum side.
Has dual leading shoe brake.  Drum i.d. measures 8".  Stock spokes were 8-10 ga. with .300" dia. nipples.
Some Triumph models continued to use this hub after 1970.  Please verify which hub is fitted to your bike.

10 GAUGE SPOKES with .250" DIAMETER NIPPLES 

Cast aluminum conical drum measures 5" on small side and 9 7/8" on brake side.  Stock spokes were 10 ga.
with .250" diameter nipples.  Some Triumph models continued to use pre-1970 hubs during these years.
Please verify which hub is fitted to your bike.  NOTE:  Some 1973 650's came with disc brakes in front.

9 GAUGE SPOKES with .250" DIAMETER NIPPLES

Cast aluminum conical drum measures 4 1/2" on small side and 8 7/8" on drum sprocket side.
Although stock spokes were 10 ga. with .250" dia. nipples, we advise no smaller than 9 ga. be
used on these wheels.   Tridents used these same hubs with 19" rims.  Some Triumph models
continued to use pre-1970 hubs during these years.  Please verify which hub is fitted to your bike.

Two piece cast aluminum hub measures 4 7/8" diameter.   Stock spokes were 10 ga. with .250" diameter nipples.
NOTE:  Rim must be cross drilled for spokes to clear brake caliper.

8 GAUGE SPOKES with .281" DIAMETER NIPPLES 

Three piece cast aluminum hub measures 5 1/2" diameter and 3 1/4" wide.  Rims must be drilled specifically to
fit this hub due to the severe offset of the rim to the hub.  Stock spokes were 10 ga. with .250" diameter nipples.

6-8 GAUGE SPOKES with .281" DIAMETER NIPPLES

Cast aluminum hub is single disc and all inside laced.  Most stock spokes were 7-8 gauge.
These spokes are larger than stock diameter for durability, but will not require hub to be drilled.

6-8 GAUGE SPOKES with .281" DIAMETER NIPPLES

Cast aluminum hub is all inside laced.  Slightly smaller diameter on brake side and
requires four different spokes.  Most stock spokes were 7-8 gauge.  These spokes
are larger than stock diameter for durability, but will not require hub to be drilled.
